Welcome to the Light Bulb Lab! Where kids and their parents will have the exclusive opportunity to come to Arnold Electrical’s shop and participate in a FREE 2-hour class taught by Arnold Electrical’s owner, Jack Arnold.
In the Light Bulb Lab Class, your child will participate in a variety of activities not found in a traditional classroom setting and will experience the basics of electrical tool knowledge, electrical wiring, and safe working practices.
Here is what to expect in a Light Bulb Lab Class:
1st Hour:
- Introductions
- Safety session
- Tools of the trade introduction
- Tool tinkering session
- Materials Introduction
- Work Van Exploring – Look inside a real electrician’s work van and see and touch all the tools and materials!
2nd Hour:
- Snack break
- Apply the tool tinkering and materials knowledge to wire up a real-world LIVE circuit
- Everyone gets a chance to “throw the switch” to turn on the circuit and see the fruits of their hard work in action – JUST LIKE a real electrician would!!
Your Child will receive a goodie bag before class starts that includes:
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Work Gloves
